Hey guys,

I just wanted to let you all know how things are going here, why we missed recent
completion dates and to share our plans to reduce the queue a bit faster.

As you are probably well aware we have quite a big back log at the moment (1000+)
and the wait time is… ‚pretty‘ high. We’re currently in the process of creating a
solution that will bring down the queue faster by being more efficient in the way
that we place the Raspberry Pi’s in our racks. For this we’re building ‚RPi
powerboards‘ as can be seen on our facebook page (fb.me/PCextremeBV)

In our current situation we need a power adapter for each RPi and for every nine
adapters we need a power bar. Due to the many orders, the costs associated with
these items begin to creep up. While the powerboards won’t be necessarily cheaper,
they do offer a lot more in the sense of security and efficiency and will make all
the adapters and power bars obsolete, hence we don’t want to end up with too many of
them.

Because of this we chose to wait a bit with placing the Pi’s using the inefficient
method and catchup big time when we received our powerboards. We planned our
completion dates with this in mind however, the production of our power boards is
taking longer than anticipated. We are placing RPi’s again using the old method for
the time being. Unfortunately, this will cause us to miss more completion dates for
at least the next two to three weeks.

We’re truly sorry for all those who have already been waiting so patiently. We
sincerely hope this email can bring at least some comfort in knowing that we are
actively working on getting your RPi online. We’re also working on getting a blog
ready on our raspberry theme website to share future updates on and some other cool
stuff and will be updated regularly, so you always know what’s up.

Should you have any questions, concerns or just want to vent your thoughts then feel
free to contact us by sending an email to support@pcextreme.nl.
